Tarot

A creative way to check in with your current story.

Embodied Tarot Sessions

Tarot is a rich form of checking in with ourselves. Tarot can be used as a mindfulness practice, a kick-start to a creative project, or a way to seek clarity on something that has been rolling around in your brain lately.

Embodied tarot is a style of my own making that incorporates not only listening to the imagery of the cards as a mirror to our questions, but to also listen to our body as a both a call and response to the questions we ask and the cards we pull.

What to Expect

People use tarot for all sorts of reasons and none of them are wrong. My personal style of tarot pulling is not divinatory in nature but instead uses imagery, art, mindfulness, movement and inquiry to help you gain insight on your own current process.

During our session we will set an intention for the container, focus on an area of your life you’d like to inquire more deeply about, and then pull a few cards.

I also believe in building relationship or integrating tarot pulls through creative and artistic means and can help you create meaningful reminders unique to your readings.

What people are saying…

Dagny’s gifts are sublime, unique, creative, and inspiring.  During my tarot/movement session with her, I found answers to unformed soul questions, as well as conscious ones.  The experience was deeply connective for me; helped to integrate lost and stray threads in my life’s journey.

Common Hesitation

“But isn’t tarot kind of bullshit?”

Tarot has gotten a bad wrap from misunderstandings about what it is actually useful for and the purpose behind the pulls. Although some people pull tarot cards to try and make large life decisions, or as a way to attempt to predict the future, the way I guide tarot is as a mindfulness tool to help further hone in on the wisdom that you already possess.

About Your Tarot Guide

Your Guide – Dagny Deutchman

I started pulling tarot for myself daily a little over a year ago. When I started, I was mostly just fascinated with the history and the art presented on the cards and how these funny little images stood the test of time. I was surprised at how easily I got hooked!

Fast forward a year and I’ve taken multiple tarot workshops, read a slew of books on the imagery and art history, and have pulled nearly every single day as a form of habit formation, accountability practice, and a way to spend time on intentional self-care. Although I’m still fairly new with the tarot, I’m deeply passionate about it and it’s become something my friends and family ask for me to share regularly with them so I thought I’d share it more broadly now, too.

In my particular style of tarot pulling, I use tarot as a tool to help others ground and check in. I’m not telling you anything about yourself that you don’t already know, I’m just helping hold up a mirror, ask some reflective questions and am glad to hold some space while you explore yourself a little more deeply. More than anything I’m a ‘translator’ to the imagery you’re experiencing in the cards.
